This Earth Day, take a wildflower hike, sip on eco-friendly wines and celebrate all things nature in Sonoma County.

From environmentalists to activists, school children to gardeners, scientists to winemakers, millions of people around the world will celebrate Earth Day on Saturday, April 22 – and Wine Country is no exception. 

Founded in 1970 in response to a massive oil spill in Santa Barbara, Earth Day started as a series of demonstrations promoting a sustainable, healthy environment. Today, it is celebrated in 192 countries. In Sonoma County, celebrations range from wildflower hikes, to family fun, wine tasting, and farm-to-table meals.
