Tsonomi Session IPA & Conan's Haze - Sonoma Springs Brewery, Sonoma
Sonoma Springs recently released the Tsonomi Session IPA made with Amarillo, Citra, and Simcoe hops. This light and hoppy brew, coming in at a mere 4.8% ABV, can be found in the Sonoma taproom as well as in cans now, and throughout the summer. On June 2, Sonoma Springs will release Conan's Haze, adding another juicy brew to their lineup. Made with the popular Conan yeast strain, Conan is hopped with Mosaic, Huell Mellon, Loral, and Simcoe and taste of peach and guava. It will be available in cans in the taproom, as well as on draft (there are only a couple of kegs available at present). Fresh Tendrils IPA - Cooperage Brewing, Santa Rosa
The new Fresh Tendrils IPA, a tribute to the late and great Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave, is currently on tap at the Santa Rosa brewery. It is hopped with Simcoe and Amarillo and comes in right at 7.5% ABV. Get it while you can - Cooperage brews news beers every week, and they don’t always last long! La Loca Sour - Carneros Brewery, Sonoma
Carneros Brewery, run by the family behind Ceja Vineyards, recently released a barrel- aged beer called La Loca Sour. Being closely connected to wine production, brewmaster Jesus Ceja can experiment with a variety of barrels, and this handcrafted cerveza does not disappoint. Saturday Morning Cartoons, Dad Pants, Brother Maker, WD-40 - Barrel Brothers, Windsor
Barrel Brothers in Windsor has a lot of new brews coming up: Memorial Weekend marks the return of Barrel Brothers' "breakfast lager" Saturday Morning Cartoons. The Windsor brewery will be pairing this beer with a cereal bar stocked with all the sugary treats your Mom wouldn't let you eat as a kid. On Father's Day weekend, Dad Pants the Imperial Pilsner makes a reappearance. This time, it will be available in 22 ounce bottles (while supplies last). On June 21, Barrel Brothers (BB) will release the Brother Maker, a double IPA that will be available in cans at the taproom and in local markets. And finally, on the 4th if July weekend, BB will release WD-40, a malt liquor-style beer named after Wesley Deal (co-founder and brewmaster). This beer will be available to go and in the taproom. Multiple Launch Parties - Seismic Brewing, Santa Rosa
Seismic Brewing, the newcomer Santa Rosa brewery owned by vintner Christopher Jackson, has several launch parties scheduled for the next few weeks: On May 30, the brewery will host a launch part at Brewsters Beer Garden and Restaurant in Petaluma, pairing Seismic brews with everyone's favorite comfort food: mac n' cheese; the following day, May 31, Seismic will be pouring brews at the Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market on Old Courthouse Square. On June 1, Local Barrel taproom in Santa Rosa will be hosting Seismic and their beers, on draft, all night, and on June 2, Seismic will head to Healdsburg - pouring first at HBG restaurant between 4-7pm and then at the Healdsburg Emporium. Lydia & A Night of Funk - Woodfour Brewing, Sebastopol
Woodfour Brewing, located at the Barlow in Sebastopol, will be releasing bottles of a very special beer called Lydia on June 10. This is a spontaneously fermented wild ale that was co-fermented with whole cluster Syrah, harvested from Ross Station Vineyards in Sebastopol. This is the 2015 vintage, which has been aged in neutral French oak for 18 months. Lydia draws on Woodfour brewer Seth Wood's wine background and expresses the local terroir. In early July, Woodfour will be releasing bottles of a sour wheat ale called A Night of Funk, made in collaboration with Jester King Brewery in Austin, Texas. The ale is brewed using Texas wheat and grapefruit, and fermented spontaneously at Woodfour Brewery.
