Pullman Kitchen Closes: After five years of amazing food in Railroad Square, Pullman Kitchen has closed. The buzz made the rounds quickly among the food community after the shutter, due according to owner Darren McRonald, to a lost lease at the 205 Fifth St. location. In an Instagram post, the news read simply, “The train has left the station. We’ve had a great time serving you for the past 5 years. However, we’ve lost our lease and have had to close. #staytuned #allaboard”.

  1. Too bad! I never had a chance to go there. As others have commented when other businesses lost their leases, supposedly lessees know about this for a while, i.e. a few months, so why do they suddenly close without warning? I hope their employees got some advance notice. Ah, ’tis the unfortunate but true situation with the restaurant business. It’s a tough business and sometimes they don’t make it.

  2. Greedy landlords have caused many restaurants to close, Acupulcos etc.($13K per month I heard) Then the landlord loses when the establishment stays empty.
