There's no shame in bringing your own (BYO) at these Sonoma County restaurants, they even encourage it through waiving corkage fees on certain nights, or entirely. Click through the gallery for details.

6 things to know before you BYO: 1. Most restaurants request that you not bring in a label that is already on their wine list, 2. A bottle is considered 750 ml; there may be additional charges for bringing a magnum or larger, 3. Do not bring in wine that has been opened, 4. Bring quality wine to savor, not cheap wine to save a few bucks, 5. Remember to tip your server for wine service, too, 6. Understand that a restaurant’s corkage policy sometimes changes, so be flexible!
