May 5: Cinco de Mayo at 101 North Brewing Company, Petaluma
101 North in Petaluma is putting on a Cinco de Mayo party on May 5 with chicken tacos and traditional Mexican street food favorite dish: elote (that incredibly messy by oh-so-yummy corn on the cob to enjoy with a variety of toppings, including cojita cheese, cilantro and lime.) Tacos and elote are $5 each or buy two tacos and pick a beer of your choice for $10. Try out the new rotating tap: the dry hopped IPA called "Catch and Release." The party starts at 2pm.

May 6: Cinco de Mayo Party at Carneros Brewing Company, Sonoma
Located in idyllic countryside landscape right off highway 121, this microbrewery serves up high quality beers from the Mexican-American Ceja family. On May 6, the family is hosting a Cinco de Mayo party with authentic Mexican street food to enjoy on a picturesque patio with a view of the Carneros Valley. There will also be piñatas to tackle, raffle prizes to win and, of course, hand-crafted cervezas to sip on.

May 6: The Windsor Day “After Party” at St. Florian’s Brewery, Windsor
On May 6, from 2-8pm, celebrate the town of Windsor at St. Florian’s Brewery. There will be live music by the Igniters from 2-5pm, followed by the Arizona and the Volunteers from 5-8pm, and barbecue from Camacho's Southern Style BBQ - choose from tasty ribs, juicy pulled pork sliders, and more finger lickin’ goods. The brewery will serve up ten beers on tap, and draft root beer for the kiddos (the event is family friendly, and there's a sandbox for children to play in on the patio). There is no cover charge - contributions are always appreciated and donated to local charities

May 6: The Great Chili-Cook Off, Petaluma
Saturday, May 6, marks the 20th anniversary of the Great Petaluma Chili Cook -Off, Salsa and Beer Tasting. Starting at 1 p.m., guests to the event can taste more than 50 chilis and salsa, along with beer from twenty microbreweries, while enjoying live entertainment in the open-air beer garden. Chili teams will compete in professional and amateur categories. Proceeds help fund Cinnabar Theater’s Young Rep program. More information and tickets here.

Every Sunday: Live music at Local Barrel Taproom, Santa Rosa

The event will feature four local bands; folk-soul band Free Peoples will be the headliner (additional bands TBD). May 30: Brewsters Beer Garden Hosts Seismic Brewing’s Launch Party, Petaluma
Seismic Brewing has been on every local beer lover's radar since Christopher Jackson, of the well-known wine family behind Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, announced he would be opening a brewery in Sonoma with his college roommate. This soon-to-open brewery has teamed up with Brewsters Beer Garden, a new taphouse and restaurant in Petaluma, to host a launch party on May 30. Guests will be able to sample flights of Seismic beers, paired with one of our favorite comfort foods: mac n’ cheese. Stay tuned for more details.
