Mumm Napa, Rutherford: New exhibit, Intimate Distance, featuring the photography of Todd Hido, is now on display at Mumm Napa. Go for a stroll, wine in hand; the exhibit will run through January 2019. Save time to take in the ongoing Ansel Adams exhibit Poetry of Light, which includes nearly 30 photographs. Thanks to the newly launched “No Reservations” campaign, you can now stop in whenever the mood strikes. Access to the Sculpture Meadow still requires a guided tour. During Third Thursdays at di Rosa, guests can drop in for drinks, music and art-related activities. This month’s event includes a special drop-in sew-in project with Be Not Still artist Lexa Walsh. Walsh will lead a discussion of critical texts and ideas while stitching an oversized “sampler”—an embroidery piece that incorporates a variety of sewing techniques and decorative elements. Rails Arts District (RAD), Napa: Napa’s backyard just got a little more colorful thanks to the completion of two new murals along the Napa Valley Vine Trail and the Napa Valley Wine Train tracks. “Rolling Portrait of a Firefighter” by Australian artist Fintan Magee, and “The Whine Train" from San Franciscan artist Jeremy Fish are the latest additions to the Rails Arts District (RAD). Rails Arts District (RAD), Napa: You can view the outdoor collection on foot or bike along the Napa Valley Vine Trail, or while riding the rails aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train. So far, RAD has installed 8 murals and 12 artwork wraps of railroad signal boxes. The end goal is to have more than 125 art installations along the route.
