"Painting with paper" at Blue Door Gallery: If you think you’ve seen enough art galleries, and plan to walk on by Blue Door Gallery, the displays in the window will likely make you go inside anyway. Douglas DeVos, proprietor of Blue Door gallery, has got some fascinating pieces in his store/studio. Using old paper, he creates multi-layered collages that he fashions into larger pieces in the most innovative ways: a mobile, rocket or other abstract 3-D creations. He shares the space with other artists who have their own unique styles, but share a through-line of eye catching complexity and whimsy.
