Spoonbar Chef Shuffle

Mihal departs

Mediterranean Spices

Chef Rudy Mihal, who opened spoonbar at the h2hotel in July, 2010 has left the kitchen. There’s plenty of scuttlebutt about who’ll take over the menu of the popular Healdsburg hangout, and the buzz points to a well-known name in the food world. No official confirmation yet, but it looks like a March arrival.

  1. As a local who wanted to like this place, the food just wasn’t very good and we gave it 4 chances. I am really looking forward to a new chef. We would love to have a good local go-to spot .

  2. I agree this place has never really found its footing. The menu has been revamped two or three times and not caught on. The bar is great. Here’s hoping the new chef brings some excitement and stability. Any thoughts on who it might be based on “well known name in the food world.”
