This recently opened tap-room in downtown Santa Rosa claims to have more beers on tap than any other bar north of San Francisco. In total, there are 40 beers on tap — and entire wall — with the majority coming from Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. It’s an easygoing place, where everybody knows your name — or at least makes an effort to learn it. The grill behind the bar serves up a surprisingly great burger, brilliant matchstick sweet potato fries and hot wings and daily sandwich specials. There’s also a new outside area, live music on select nights, TV’s, family-friendly dining and lot
s of sports on TV.

What a fun place! Comfortable chairs, great music, fabulous and attentive bar staff — on a packed night, my beer glass was never empty for more than 60 seconds before someone came to check in on me. And the burgers smelled YUMMY. I was just too full to eat. And, oh yes, FORTY BEERS ON TAP! I’ve found a new place to add to my visiting-relative tour, and a hip place to hang out when I get out of the house.

I hope they can get better ventilation there…we were in today and very hungry, but the air inside was so smoky and stinky( burned or greasy food smell) that we had to leave before we ordered. We just took our beers and went outside, as we couldn’t face staying inside any longer than necessary. We’ll try it again in case it was a fluke..

I love that I can get mexican beers on tap there! And, it’s my new favorite place for live music in Santa Rosa.
