Pig ears on the menu at Willi's

A tisket, a tasket, a pig-ear-filled basket at Willi’s Wine Bar in Santa Rosa.

Listen up pork fans, pig ears are on the menu. Though they’ve been spotted at various events around town, Willi’s Wine Bar has the gusto to put them on the menu. Crunchy, soft and chewy at the same time, these spare parts are a tasty bar snack served up with jalapeno aioli food good measure. And hey, whatever you don’t eat will surely be relished by Fido, who’s no stranger to this part of the squeal. 4404 Old Redwood Highway  Santa Rosa, 526-3096.

  1. How about they make a Rocky Mountain Oyster/ Pig’s Ear Eclair. Take the pig ears, stuff them with a rocky mountain oyster paste, and then deep fry them. Sounds classy because no one else is doing it right?

  3. I’m still trying to find fried gizzards in Sonoma County !! Also pan fried oysters ! Seems like everyone wants to deep fry or serve them raw !

  4. Wow really? Of all the things in the small food world of Sonoma County to write about, pigs ears at a wine bar? Welcome to “Fear Factor” Sonoma County, but since it’s at a wine bar, it must be high class right?

    1. Yes. I wish Heather would finally write about something other than pig ears. Enough already with the pig ears already. Pig ears this. Pig ears that. Pig ears ALL THE TIME. What’s with the pig ear obsession, Heather?
