This quasi family unit was on the run when all of this came to a tragic end. Complaints of hunger, temper tantrums and some unacceptable behavior had been alleged in their past. How sad. And with governmentt and court help too.

this article failed to mention that in November a 911 call was made to Clark county regarding the incident with Hannah. Dana’s father called 911 to report the incident and requested a well fair check. Clark County failed to follow up on the report because abused
children are not a priority.

This is sad on all counts. First why the state always want to separate the kids from family. Why not work harder with the aunts to help them get the kids and raise them? Why be so quick to just throw them in foster care? Why so many bruises and no in depth investigation? Kids are hungry, asking neighbors for food? That clearly shows something wrong in the home. Then these unexplained bruises on the stomach? Come on, we have all been kids. When do you recall having a bruise on your stomach? Kids bruise their knees, legs, hands, not their stomachs. This is another case where people believe the crack stories & drug abuse stories and think these 2 women were saviours. Who even said these 2 white women were equipped to raise 1 black child, let alone multiple black children? Then they had no right taking those kids lives. This story just goes to show how the system once again failed children. Sad!

In reply to Mon. CPS is THE most corrupt agency in existence today. Why didn't they place these children with family, despite per their own procedure manual they're supposed to be placed in kinship care if at all possible? Look no further than CPS funding. They get a lot of money from the federal government for each child removed from their home, and then even more for each child they adopt out. Children are far more likely to suffer physical and sexual abuse in foster care, and when the children disclose this abuse, they are not believed. Caseworkers assume they're lying so they can go back home. They put them and leave them in abusive and dangerous situations and sadly, some don't make it out alive. CPS does anything but protect kids and they sure as hell don't care about those who are truly abused.That's how cases like this happen. And it goes on across the nation. Kids, with the uncommon exception of those who are actually being abused, belong at home with their families. CPS are child torturers and traffickers. ????
