Sanglier Cellars
Sanglier Cellars is a celebration of the wine and food of Sonoma County. They hand farm six hundred acres of the best vineyard sites throughout the county, diligently harvesting wine grapes that express a purity of fruit balanced with the vibrancy and freshness of natural acidity. The grapes arrive at the winery and then the wines are made with minimal intervention from human hands.
Glenn and Melissa Alexander started Sanglier Cellars in 2006. They produced their first vintage as a small four barrel lot of Syrah from a vineyard on a sandstone ridgeline west of Healdsburg. In 2007, Sanglier produced its second vintage of Syrah from the volcanic soils of Kick Ranch located on the eastern flank of Spring Mountain. Since that time, Sanglier’s wine program has grown to include pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, viognier, a traditional skin contact press rosé, and a Chateauneuf-du-Pape style grenache-Syrah-Mourvedre blend.
Tastings are by appointment only.
