Hook & Ladder Winery

Cecil De Loach was a San Francisco firefighter, but in 1970 and his wife Christine purchased 24 acres of old-vine Zinfandel in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County to start a new beginning in the wine grape business. ¬†For a few years they sold the grapes to other winemakers, but in 1975 decided to produce wine on the own under the De Loach label. Having now sold that label, they’re focusing on continuing their winemaking skills at Hook & Ladder Winery. A $10 tasting fee includes a choice of 5 different wines from the vineyards, and the fee will be waived upon a 2 bottle purchase.
