Chef Gopal Pun has careful crafted a menu that combines both mainland Indian favorites with a few Nepalese delights. Specialties include the vegan Aaloo Bhanta- fresh eggplant, potatoes and tomatoes cooked with a sauce of Nepalese herbs and spices.
We also loved their Everest Lamb Curry- tender pieces of lamb swimming in an out-of-this-world, thick, coconut-apricot-spice sauce. While coconuts don’t grow in the uplands of the Himalayan foothills, apricots do and abundantly. These fruits are claimed to be one of the sources of the amazing health of people living in the Hindu Kush region of Pakistan. One taste of this fruity-savory curry and you will understand why.
