Who is 'Guerneville' (the commenter) and why is this person so sour? The pies, the ice cream are all local. More local than Clover, than Double Rainbow- it's the most local stuff you can get in these categories. It is FANTASTIC. I live there, I AM a local and holy heck do I love these sweet food sellers at the Bank Club, Love it. Never mind that the resoration of the space is phenomenal. It's worth the visit to see the building then eat delicious food.

Ice cream trolls make me sad. Guerneville has long had a push-pull with locals versus weekenders and tourists. The downtown area as seen a huge revival, and much of it is aimed at folks who want a higher-end dining experience. And that has put Guerneville on the tourist radar, which vexes folks who've seen the West County outpost as a refuge.

There are still inexpensive options as well (hint the taco truck outside of Safeway is the best in Sonoma). So take the comments for what they are.

However, I would like to say that the gals from Nimble & Finn ARE local and use local ingredients. I'm not sure where they "spin" it (I will ask), but its common practice to use a larger company (Frozen Art in San Rosa comes to mind) that has facilities to actually make the ice cream based on recipes and ingredients from the owners. It's just practicality and cost effectiveness.

The pie company is from SF and the pies are baked in Guerneville.

Haters gotta hate, but I'm a fan.

First time to eat pie and ice cream at the bank and is it ever delicious!! The whole place is very clean and bright and the wait staff are very friendly. We had the chocolate pie with nuts and vanilla bean ice cream and chile apple pie and vanilla bean ice cream. I thought the pie slice was large and the scoop of ice cream was very large. For $8.50 I thought it was a reasonable price, you won't be able to eat anything else after finishing that yummy desert. I don't know who makes the pies but I would guess they do as fabulous cooks are in the family.

Yes they do make the pies there, the ice cream is made within 20 miles and it seems like a reasonable price unless you are comparing it to the fake pie they sell and the nearby super market bakery. Guerneville, would you have preferred they left the building to continue rotting and a squat for the local shooting gallery attendants?

Our family went for the first time yesterday and were impressed. The chocolate pie with nuts and vanilla bean ice cream was delicious!! 5.50 for a large piece of pie and 3 for a very large scoop of ice cream was reasonable I thought. The restored building is lovely too. Can't wait to return.

Sienna and Lydia, They make NOTHING on the premises. All the ice cream and pies are shipped in, so NO they do NOT make anything. Locals call it what it is, a Tourist Trap.
